The Ministerial Commission for Construction and Infrastructure has announced restarting the stalled real estate project “Landmark City View” next April. The project will be completed by September according to Sheikh Khaled Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the deputy prime minister of Bahrain.
Sheikh Khaled cleared that as a part of the commission’s duties it entitled the real estate developer “City View” to commence the construction works according to the scheme provided in June 2015. The residential apartments in the project are expected to be handed over to investors and buyers by December of this year.
According to law no. 66 for 2014 which was issued to settle stalled real estate project, the government is entitled to restart frozen projects. Many stalled projects were restarted including Riffa Views project whose developer proved to be serious in settling all stalled issues which made the commission cross the project name out from the stalled projects list.
Sheikh Khaled added that the accomplishments made in accordance to this law reflect the government’s keenness on protecting citizens’ rights. He pointed that the set timeframe for finishing the project constructions will be supervised by the commission to make sure of the company seriousness.
If the company proved to be unserious the commission will have the right to turn the project to the Stalled Projects Committee entitled to deal with frozen projects.
