Marassi Galleria entertainment centre, Bahrain
Expected to be a prime shopping location and entertainment destination in the Kingdom of Bahrain; Marassi Galleria entertainment centre will sprawl over an area of 13,200 square meters.
One of the grand projects in Bahrain, this development is the first major leisure & entertainment (L&E) attraction by Emaar Entertainment in the kingdom and its first international expansion in the GCC.
According to the developer, Eagle Hills, the centre will compromise of virtual reality, a luxury cinema, extreme free-slide, nature climb, a kids play zone, an aquarium, zip-wiring, a giant extreme slide, trampolining, and a Digital Family Entertainment Centre.
That’s not all as the centre will also include – for the first time in the Kingdom – an Underwater Zoo that covers an area of 2,400 square meters as well as an eco-friendly mountain climb that will be found on the rooftop of Marassi Galleria.
It is worth mentioning that Marassi Galleria entertainment centre is a part of the 875,000 square metres, Marassi Al Bahrain; a waterfront development situated n the northern shores of ‘new city’ of Diyar Al Muharraq and is considered to be Bahrain’s largest private urban project.
Liwan
Developed by Seef properties, Kuwaiti Manager Holding Company was appointed by the developer to be the main contractor of Liwan Project, 133.1 million dollars project.
This is a mixed-use project that sprawls over an area of 122,000 square metres and features retail outlets, restaurants and cafés, residential units, supermarket, cinema, a family entertainment centre and open-air spaces.
To top all of that, the project will also include a well-equipped health club, a vibrant pedestrian boulevard and world-class restaurants that offer breathtaking views of the boulevard.
Located in Hamala in the Northern Governorate, Liwan project is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2019.
Upon completion, the project is expected to become an attractive and appealing tourist hub not only in Bahrain but in the entire GCC area as well.
“Liwan was designed to meet market needs due to its residential and commercial facilities,” Essa Najibi, chairman of Seef Properties said.
Al Sahel Resort
Scheduled for completion in 2020, Al Sahel resort project is a joint venture between Mumtalakat and Sama Dubai.
The five-star resort on the southwest coast of Bahrain will feature pristine beaches and a range of entertainment, retail and conference facilities, the resort will offer room and villa-based accommodation.
The resort will also include a comprehensive range of entertainment and leisure options for all visitors from all corners of the globe that include restaurants, water features and sports, cinema, teen smart room, kids club, meeting and conference services, sports and spa facilities.
With 1.25km coastline that lies just outside of the city, Al Sahel Resort is the ultimate getaway destination that offers at the same time a close proximity to the city and all of its attractions.
According to the developers, Al Sahel Resort is considered the first phase of the Al Sahel development.
The luxury and high privacy degrees that the resort will offer to its visitors surely make it one of the Kingdom’s major tourism destinations and the first-of-its-kind to offer an unrivalled level of seclusion.
Ikea
With a completion date sometime this year, the retail giant Ikea in the Kingdom of Bahrain is expected to be the biggest of its kind in the region and will house the kingdom’s largest restaurant.
Spread over two levels, Ikea Bahrain will feature a 66,736 square feet showroom, 64,583 square feet market hall for accessories, 53,820 square feet of self-service space, 43,055 square feet full-service area and the biggest restaurant in the Kingdom with 800 seats over an area of 26,910 square feet.
It is expected that upon its completion, Ikea Bahrain will be one of the biggest projects in Bahrain and one of the biggest IKEA stores in the region.
